Django Baunack is a lecturer at the Department of Metallic Materials of the Institute of Materials Engineering at the University of Kassel. His research focuses on welding technology, materials testing and component fatigue of metallic materials. As an international welding engineer, he also runs the engineering office Ingenieurbüro Dr.-Ing. D. Baunack for welding technology consulting with a focus on materials technology in Germany and abroad. As an expert for examinations and damage analyses in welding and materials technology, publicly appointed and sworn by the responsible Chamber of Industry and Commerce, he acts on behalf of the courts.
